It’s been a helluva busy week. I’ve been reaccepted into Random Shapes after a short stint away from the group, and on the other hand my position at Panera Bread has been terminated due to my lack of “teamwork”. They could have at least told me over the phone so I didn’t have to waste time driving all the way up there, only to be sent home twenty minutes later.

As for Random Shapes, I’m happy to be back in. After leaving the network I felt a sense of loneliness. The people I used to talk to were no longer reachable, and when I could converse with them I felt like an outsider, but that’s all better now that I am mode +v.

My design career is slowly starting to pick up. As ridiculous as it sounds, MySpace really is a great networking tool. It’s a great way to find people with the same interests as you, and people who may need your services. I’ve had a few offers for work, but nothing serious or high profile. As well as my MySpace initiative I’ve also made a significant network to align myself with a few great designers, hoping for a couple great jobs out of the deal. But in the meantime I need to find another job, I’m thinking in retail this time. The food service industry just isn’t for me.
