Coming up on three years, and I’ve finally hit the 200 post mark. It’s taken a lot longer than I would have thought, but I’m finally through it. Looking back on some of my older posts, it’s safe to say I’ve grown a lot, in writing, design, life, etc.

There are a few things I regret, a few things I wish I could take back, but I’m happy to say that the important parts of my past will always be here, safely tucked away for a rainy day. I’ve gone through power outages, unhealthy living situations, relationships, weight loss and weight gain, and even arrests.

I’ve had a hell of a run, and I think it’s about time to jump another hurdle. Here’s to another three years, another 200 posts, another job, another home, another life. There are changes on the horizon, let’s see if I can restore this rag to what it once was.

Many months ago I reported on the rumors of a touchscreen iPod in development. Around that same time, and even before then, rumors of an iPhone, as it was dubbed, began to emerge. During his always famous MacWorld Keynote Steve Jobs put to rest the touch screen iPod rumors when he introduced the new, visually stunning iPhone.

There’s not much to say about this, except it’s purely amazing, a visual masterpiece devoid of any visual navigation whatsoever. The entire phone, save for the backside, is touch sensitive, with sensors to cancel out unwanted touches. The iPhone, which starts at a pricy $499 with a two year Cingular Contract, ships to the US this June. Along with the ability to play music for up to 16 hours the iPhone has two memory options, 4 and 8 gigabytes, like two of the prepackaged Nano options.

In music mode it has an excellent 16 hour battery life, and in calling mode it lasts for up to 6 hours. What’s even more amazing though is the ability for the iPhone to run OSx, including Safari, iTunes with Coverflow right out of the box, and even Widgets. For more information and a slew of photos from MacWorld head on over to Engadget.

To kick everything off start by compiling all of the duplicate letters in the note into a URL, and from there everything’s pretty simple. Enjoy!

On my way over to spend time with Kayla earlier today I had an interesting conversation with Pops, my stepfather’s father. He was asking me a little about my new girlfriend and out of nowhere he starts talking about marriage. He has one simple rule, follow that rule and you’ll be all set.

If you’re going to get married, marry somebody with no family and a lot of money. If they have family that means you’ll have to take care of them when they get old, and you don’t want that.

This has me cracking up for a good ten minutes, but Kayla didn’t seem to find it as funny.

We enjoy creating new words…

Me: shut up you stupid hermofile (hermaphrodite-homo-pedifile) yeah making up new words is fun
Robyn: whats a hermaphrodite? tell me now.
Me: a person with a dipstick and an oil pan
Robyn: hahaha i have no idea what that is but it sounds funny. OILPAN OILPAN OILPAN!

but we enjoy creating new flavors even more

Me: yeah, so apple flavored bananas, that would be cool or how about banana flavored apples, or maybe apple flavored apples and banana flavored bananas. yeah, i’m a genius
Robyn: how about apple flavored shut the phizzzuk up!

There’s a lot more, but most if it isn’t appropriate for public viewing. Now if only more people were this completely random and insane, life would be a whole lot less stressful than it is now.

I’ve got a little bit of a confession to make, I’m a backstabber. I’ve done it in the past, and even more recently, I’ve been doing it for the past week. But I truly, honestly believe I’m in the correct position this time around. I’ve got two good friends, or at least I did until all this happened, Cody and Shiloh. They dated for a year and Shiloh dumped cody for another man about two weeks ago.

My friend Josh and I were with Cody when all of this went down, so of course a confrontation was brewing. We decided to make a little detour to Shiloh’s house to see if the new man was there or not. Seeing he was in fact at the home of his ex-girlfriend of a year, Cody bursted into a jealous rage, telling us everything and anything personal there was to be known about Shiloh.

Now it’s no secret that I’m terrible about keeping secrets, but Cody proceeded to spill his guts anyway. Two weeks later I cracked and told Shiloh everything he said. She just needed to know about it all, it wasn’t right of him to say what he said. Anyway, after hearing all this Shiloh called Cody and confronted him, and it took him all of thirty seconds to figure out it was me who had told her everything. Minutes after the call I received a series of threatening messages from him over MySpace, and it’s been all hell since then.

Fights, threats, suspensions, work details, breakups, hookups, pregnancy tests, new friendships, dead friendships, and hatred, all rolled into the short time period of a week. Cody wants to fight me, even though he swears he wont do anything; Josh, my best friend of two years, is no longer my friend at all, and through all of this I think I’ve mad more enemies than friends, but I still think I’m in the right this time. I don’t know anymore, school drama is way too hard to handle.

Today is the big night, my school, Kathleen Senior High is playing Lakeland High School, one of the top High School Football teams in the country, in our season ending rivalry game. We haven’t won since 1994, but that really doesn’t matter. This week is all about showing spirit, and giving the Freshman the worst week of their lives.

The dumpsters have been filled, the shaving cream cans emptied, the bathroom stalls covered in chocolate, and the toiletpaper soaked, all that’s left is the actual game. If you happen to live in the area tune to Catch47 to check out the game, as it’s already sold out. And if you haven’t figured it out, there will be plenty of fights and plenty of local law enforcement officers.

Good luck Kathleen Red Devils!
